Shrimp Linguine Alfredo Recipe

I love cream sauce and I love pasta! This recipe for Shrimp Linguine Alfredo is delicious!

4 servings

5 cups cooked pasta
3 tablespoons each butter & olive oil
4 cloves minced garlic
40 shrimp peeled & deveined
1 teaspoon flour
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup milk
6 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup fresh chopped parsley

Melt butter in oil in a large nonstick pan over medium high heat.
Add garlic and fry only for a few seconds just until it starts to change colour. Add shrimp and cook just until they're almost pink. Remove the shrimp to a bowl immediately. If you overcook your shrimp they will be chewy!

Add the flour & pepper to the pan. There should still be some butter/oil, if not, add another teaspoon. Cook for a minute then add the milk and whisk until it thickens. Stir in the cheese. Add the shrimp back and cook just for a minute to heat through. Add the pasta and parsley and give it a toss. It's ready to serve. Squeeze a little lemon on it before you eat it. Yummy!

Tip: You could make this with chunks of chicken breast.

  1. I tried this today. Very good. I added whipping cream to the mix and a little more cheese.

  2. can you add chorizo?

    1. I haven't tried, but I don't see why not.
