Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies

Peanut butter blossom cookies are probably one of my favourite cookies of all time. This recipe for peanut butter blossoms makes a soft cookie with just the right amount of chocolate from the Hershey’s Kisses. These easy to make cookies are perfect for Christmas or any other holiday. Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies Makes 42 Cookies Adapted from allrecipes.com Ingredients 1 cup shortening 1 cup smooth peanut butter 1 cup brown sugar 3/4 cup white sugar 2 large eggs 1/4 cup milk 2 teaspoons vanilla extract  3 1/2 cups all purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 42 Hershey Kisses or Hugs, unwrapped White sugar for rolling Directions Preheat the oven to 375F and line some baking trays with parchment paper.  Beat shortening, peanut butter, and sugars  in a large bowl until well combined. Egg Salad Sandwiches

I love egg salad sandwiches! I especially like them on toast with butter. Somehow the butter makes it even better! Here's how I make my egg salad.


Egg Salad Sandwiches
Makes 2 sandwiches

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onion (the green and white part)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
  • 3 hard boiled eggs, diced
Directions
  1. Mix all ingredients, except for the eggs, in a bowl to make the dressing. Gently mix in the egg. Serve on toast with butter.
  2. You can add sliced tomatoes and lettuce if you like.
Tips:
  • I use one of those egg slicer gadgets. Slice the egg horizontally then carefully turn it and slice it diagonally. It'll be perfectly diced.
  • The egg slicer can be purchased anywhere that sells kitchen gadgets. Here's one from Ikea. Mine is different but I'm pretty sure that's where I bought it.
